My name is Rayna, founder/director of Understanding Strategies, a private counselling, psychotherapy, coaching and training practice, which I founded in the year 2000.
A highly experienced UKCP registered adult, child and adolescent psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, with a Masters Degree in Integrative Transpersonal Child Adolescent & Family Psychotherapy, until very recently, I worked in two schools as lead school counsellor and clinical supervisor, while continuing to run 'US' from my office in Northwood and then in Chalfont St. Peter. 'US' provides counselling / psychotherapy, coaching and strategies for children adolescents, adults & families of all ages and backgrounds.
My 30+ years experience as a teacher with passion for pastoral work combined with my many years training as a psychotherapist, have made me highly sought after as a Wellbeing Consultant in schools. I provide advice to Headteachers and Senior Leadership Teams on pastoral issues and present talks and workshops for pupils, staff and parents. I also supervise many Deputy Head Pastoral and other staff in schools all over the UK.
A UKCP registered clinical supervisor and trainer with over 20 years experience, I supervise, tutor and run workshops for both qualified and trainee adult and child counsellors / psychotherapists, privately and in schools. I also supervise Safeguarding Leads and other pastoral staff in both Primary and Secondary Schools all over the UK.

We have provided counselling and psychotherapy for adults of all ages and backgrounds, for over 20 years. No problem is too small to bring to therapy. You may be struggling with mental health issues or may just feel down and not know why. Whatever is troubling you, we are here to help you.
